Babette’s teaching philosophy is built around helping her students set their own goals—goals that are unique to them and their horse—and then helping them map out how to achieve those goals. By encouraging better, more consistent communication between horse and rider, she gives students the tools to grow. She encourages her students to sit down with her to build a program to accomplish their goals and realize success.
Babette has recently taken over direction of the eventing program at Gathering Farm. Her primary responsibilities are to provide instruction, coaching and training for the clients and horses of the farm. Trailer-in lessons are also available. Contact Gathering Farm for current rates and scheduling.
In addition to her work at Gathering, Babette teaches at other venues in New England on a regular basis. She is also available for clinics. Contact Babette at babette@beventing.com for schedules and locations or to inquire about scheduling a clinic.
Babette keeps an active competitive schedule, so she attends a majority of the events in Area I in the summer and fall, and the Aiken area in winter and spring. With advance notice, she is available to offer event preparation and coaching support at the events.
If you are interested in scheduling a lesson, or maybe just a time to sit down and discuss your program, your goals, and a plan to achieve them, please give a call. Babette works with all levels from Beginner Novice to Intermediate---and not just event riders either!
